In the Underground Network, we see music as a culture. We don’t want to merely play music on a Sunday, but allow music to be a movement of it’s own. This requires music to be something that we do everywhere with anyone. We want music to be a part of Crucible, special events, side projects, microchurches and any other activity we tend to work toward. Music shouldn’t be confined, but unleashed.
Therefore, the worship department exists to train new musicians, equip growing musicians and offer space for all musicians to express their talent and, hopeful, lead others in worship. We aspire to be a group of artists who are not playing only what is pleasing to the ears, but what brings God glory and ushers God's people into his presence. We seek to accomplish this by offering several different elements within the worship environment. Below are the different aspects currently available to up-and-coming musicians as well as current musicians.
We are currently accepting applications for new musicians. If you are interested in contributing to the culture of worship in the Underground Network, submit the form below and we'll follow up with you.
One advantage to having a large collection of musicians is the ability to apprentice and learn from those who have spent more time with their instrument. Spending time with those who are more experienced could easily be the best way to learn and develop our own skill. It is time and attention that turns a talent into a strength and having someone walk with you through this process can help greatly.
If you are interesting in receiving training and coach, our network is setup to help you with this. This investment will look different for each person depending on the instrument and degree of attention wanted. This could range from shadowing a current musicians to receiving private lessons. To start a discussion about what this could look like for you, send an email to email@example.com.
As our microchurch network gets larger, so does our Musician's Network. We understand that worship and music should be something every microchurch has available to them, but currently isn't due to the diversity of ministries. The Musician's Network is pleased to be able to offer their services to microchurches for specific needs. If your ministry is hosting an event or holding a conference, we would like to make ourselves available to you. If a band, either full or acoustic or solo, is something you'd be interested in further investigating, submit the following form.
With more and more musicians developing their skill, more fresh and original pieces are being created. Art isn't much if it is never shared. Musicians need a place to share their work with other likeminded musicians as well as those who appreciate new music. A singer / song writer night is just the place for this.
About once each month, the Underground Musician's Network will host a signer / song writer night. If you are play and/or sing and would like to come show off your new music, remix or any other creative musical piece, we'd love to have you. Sing, play, listen, chat, relax. All are welcome.
